SPORT IN ESTATE: COME PROTEGGERE LA NOSTRA PELLE

SPORT IN SUMMER: HOW TO PROTECT OUR SKIN

It is well known that sport is healthy, but in summer, during sporting activity, the skin also undergoes strain.
Here are some tricks to avoid skin irritation.
Sport is essential for health and is also good for the skin which is oxygenated through the blood

Sports, however, can also cause some irritation for several reasons.

Why does the skin get irritated?

The skin, during physical effort, is subjected to stress. Sweat contains many mineral salts which, during sweating, are lost and, consequently, the skin becomes more sensitive.

Furthermore, sweat also contains waste elements from our body which, if not removed, can cause irritation.

If a sport is practiced for a long time, some areas of the body, in particular armpits and the area under the breasts, will be more subject to irritation.

If we are exposed to the sun, the situation will get even worse.

If we swim in a pool, the chlorine contained in the water can extremely dry the skin.

So let's try to take some things into consideration.

Skin care before and during exercise

  • Before swimming it would be necessary to apply a cream. The greasier the cream, the more it will protect our skin from chlorine and irritation.
  • If we are outdoors , it is necessary to use adequate protection for the skin depending on the season. In winter the skin must be helped against the cold with fat and full-bodied creams while in summer creams with sun protection cannot be missing.
  • Clothing must be appropriate. Cotton, for example, only protects slightly against UV radiation and it would therefore be necessary to apply sunscreen all over the body, even if it is covered. The advice is to wear breathable clothing

The ideal skin care after sport

  • First, it is important to determine your skin type in order to use appropriate products.
  • After exercise, the shower water should be lukewarm. Water that is too hot could dry out your skin while water that is too cold can stress it and you will start to sweat again.
  • At the end of the lukewarm shower you can still take a very short cold shower to reactivate the circulation.
  • Water alone is not enough to remove all harmful residues from the skin. It will therefore be useful to use shower gel with a slightly acidic pH like ours
SHOWER GEL
  • With the skin still damp, apply a moisturizing cream that can restore the right hydrophilic molecules and lipids to the skin

POMEGRANATE HYDRATING BODY EMULSION

REGENERATING BODY CREAM

  • Drink plenty of water after any exercise. In this way liquids and mineral salts will be replenished.

Even during the summer, never stop training because your skin will benefit from it too.
